Come join us in India...

Polio Vision 2010 - India is a trip of Rotarians and like-minded individuals who support the work of Rotary International and its Polio Eradication efforts. As with other National Immunization Day (NID) trips, it is not an official activity of Rotary International or Rotary District 6400. It is organized by Rotarians as a vehicle to participate in a polio NID, to observe and assist with Rotary and Rotary Foundation projects in India including an eyeglass clinic and to experience as tourists a part of the Indian subcontinent. All participants will pay their own costs and no participants including the organizers will derive any monetary profits from the experience.

The organizing committee (consisting of Past District Governor Bob Gallagher, Past President Mary Jean Gallagher, PP Aruna Koushik, PP Shiva Koushik, Past Group Study Exchange Team Leader and Team Member to India Gisèle Sullens, Nina Chahal and PP Joan Donaldson, Treasurer) is working with an Indian tour operator to put together a trip that will encompass all three of our goals outlined above.

For more information email Bob Gallagher or call 1.519.563.7118. To start the registration process email registration@poliovision2010.org.

Can't make it to India?

Make your presence felt with our Dedication Drops!

Here's how it works. You donate $20 or more to the End Polio Now campaign at your Rotary Club. Your club's secretary or Rotary Foundation chair sends us an email listing all of the people who have donated towards Dedication Drops and in whose name the drops are to be given. Once in India one of our team members will vaccinate a child repeating the words, "This vaccine is in the name of ______." For more details click here.

If you would like to donate for the cadaract surgery being done in conjunction with Polio Vision 2010, email our treasurer, Joan Donaldson for details. You can give the gift of sight for only $180 USD.
