End Polio Now
End Polio Now is the campaign of The Rotary Foundation (TRF)to eradicate polio. TRF works with WHO, UNICEF and CDC in conjunction with the governments of the world on this campaign. In the last two years, Rotary's work has been enhanced by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation donating $355 Million USD to the Rotary Foundation on the agreement that Rotarians would match the funds with $200 Million USD of new money. TRF and Rotarians around the world are working towards this end. The Rotarians on Polio Vision 2010 are all strong supporters of the End Polio Now campaign.
How can I help?
We have initiated a "Dedicated Drops" program as part of Polio Vision 2010. Contact your local District 6400 Rotary Club and simply make a donation to End Polio Now. The club will then forward the name of the person in whose name you would like to dedicate the drops. These names will then be distributed to the Polio Vision 2010 team members and one of us will give those two amazing drops with the words, "This is in the name of _____." You will know you have helped rid the world of polio. What a wonder gift idea. We recommend a $20 donation, but feel free to give as much as you would like. Since your club sends in your donation you will receive Paul Harris recognition points for your donation and a receipt from the Rotary Foundation.
If you would like to donate for the cadaract surgery being done in conjunction with Polio Vision 2010, email our treasurer, Joan Donaldson for details. You can give the gift of sight for only $180 USD.
