Costs
The mechanics of the Polio Vision 2010 process is two fold. There is a $250 CAD registration fee for Polio Vision 2010. This fee will pay incidentals incurred by the organizing committee on behalf of the group. Any surplus funds will be used towards a project in India. All participants including the organizing committee will pay this fee to begin the process. The fee is non-refundable. However if a registrant has to cancel and there is someone from the waiting list who takes that place then the waiting list person will pay the fee and that money will be used to reimburse the original participant. Only if someone replaces you will you be reimbursed. To register send an email to registration@poliovision2010.org to indicate your intentions and send your cheque or money order made out to "Polio Vision 2010" for $250.00 CAD to Joan Donaldson, 86 Ventnor Ave., Amherstburg, ON, Canada N9V 3J5.
The second part of the process is the payment of your travel package to the tour operator. The travel package per person, based on double occupancy, is $4,224 CAD (Single occupancy supplement is $849 CAD.) Travel expenses will be payable in a staged payment. (50% upon registration and 50% by November 15, 2009.) You must pay your $250 registration fee before you pay the tour operator. We will supply the tour operator with the list of eligible participants. We will still accept applications beyond these dates only if space is available. Contact us to be sure.
We also recommend you apply for your visa as soon as your flight arrangements are made with our tour operator. Instructions will be sent to registrants since regulations have recently changed.
We are using the services of High Points of India as the local Indian tour operator. This is the same operator that did a commendable job with the 2008 tour taken by Aruna and Shiva Koushik.
