The organizing committee consists of PDG Bob Gallagher, PP Mary Jean Gallagher, PP Aruna Koushik, PP Shiva Koushik, Past GSE Team Leader and GSE Team Member to India Gisèle Sullens, Nina Chahal and PP Joan Donaldson, Treasurer. We are working with an Indian tour operator to put together our trip.
Bob Gallagher, PDG

Bob Gallagher, Past District Governor 2002-2003, is a member of the Rotary club of Windsor-Roseland. During his 24 years in Rotary he has been fortunate to have travelled on behalf of Rotary to many countries to record Rotary’s work. His photographs and videos have brought the international meaning of Rotary home to many people around the Rotary world. For the past few years Bob has created the Plenary Session speech visualizations for each year’s Chairman of the Rotary Foundation both at the International Assembly and at the International Convention. This year he produced his sixth “Foundation Update” at Rotary's International Convention.
Bob has served in various capacities in District 6400, at Rotary International and as a Zone 22 Coordinator. Currently Bob is the District 6400 District Foundation Chair 2007-2010 and District Trainer 2009-2010.
During Rotary's centennial year Bob received both the Rotary Foundation's Distinguished Service Award and Rotary International's "Service Above Self" Award.

Bob and his wife Mary Jean are Major Donors and Members of the Bequest Society. Bob, Mary Jean and their daughter Michelle are all Paul Harris Fellows and Rotary Volunteers. The family has hosted 12 exchange students and members from nine GSE teams.

Shiva Koushik, PP, Rotary Club of LaSalle-Centennial
Shiva Koushik, Past President 2006-07, is a Charter member of the Rotary Club of LaSalle-Centennial, which is one of the 51 Clubs belonging to Super District 6400.
Shiva and his wife Aruna traveled to Nagapattinam in January 2006 in the aftermath of the Tsunami to assess the needs and to initiate a project for the local school. Shiva also got his Club involved with a mini-project in a Nagerkoil orphanage, and an Artificial Limb Centre in New Delhi.
Shiva and Aruna traveled together in 2008 to participate in an NID led by PDG Elias Thomas of Maine, along with a group of 53 Rotarians and non-Rotarians from six countries.
Shiva is currently the Rotary Foundation Area Co-ordinator for five of the Clubs in the District. He is the Chair of the committee planning an END POLIO NOW gala to be held on March 27, 2010, with the goal of raising $150,000.00 net towards Polio eradication.
Aruna Koushik, PP, Rotary Club of Windsor-Roseland
Aruna Koushik, Past President 2007-2008, is a proud member of the Rotary Club of Windsor Roseland, which is privileged to be in Super District 6400. She has been a Rotarian for the past eight years and has been inspired by the work of Rotarians around the world.
She led the GSE Team to the Netherlands in 2007 to learn about the work of Rotary and share in the spirit of Rotary. Aruna is a trained Mediator and Conflict Resolution Specialist and assisted in crafting the Harassment policy for the District.
She traveled to India on her first NID with her husband Shiva Koushik in 2008 with PDG Elias Thomas and is now determined to “Kick Polio out”.
Aruna and her husband Shiva are Paul Harris Fellows, Benefactors, as well as sustaining members.. Their daughter Manasi - a Rotarian, and son-in-law David, son Nikhil and daughter-in-law Jada are also Paul Harris Fellows. Aruna and Shiva have recently become grandparents of a bouncing baby - their grandson Senthil.

Past President Sanjiv Saran and his wife Jyotsna
Past President Sanjiv Saran is a member of the Rotary Club of Delhi Megapolis and the President of the prestigious Tour Company High Points of India. He has helped organize regular humanitarian trips for Rotarians around the world to visit the Indian subcontinent and participate in Rotary projects such as vision camps, diagnostic medical camps and NIDs.
Sanjiv is proud to showcase the beautiful country of India from the majestic Himalayas to the cool southern shores of Kanya Kumari and ensures that Rotarians get a wonderful taste of India’s rich cultural heritage, its exquisite cuisine and the opportunities to provide service above self for Rotarians.
Sanjiv and his beautiful wife Jyotsna are Paul Harris fellows and enjoy the service of Rotary.
